Sanctuary Staff - Family & Friends
Little Sanctuary is run by a dedicated team of staff with personal interests in the Mind, Body and Spirit fields. Many of us are also skilled in holistic health, hands on healing, psychic skills, divination, spiritual paths, celebrancy, or knowledgeable in crystals, essences, incenses, meditation and serene lifestyle skills. We pride ourselves on being supportive of almost all the needs of our clients, and if we find that we cannot help we do everything we can to direct our clients to an appropriate person or facility.
Ms. Melody Ann Buckland is also known as Romany Rivers - a name adopted through her Wiccan training. Not only is Romany a trained Wiccan High Priestess and a co-founder of the Moon River Wicca Tradition, she is also a qualified Reiki Master, an artist, a writer and is trained in several arts of hands on healing. Romany was involved in the well loved Winchester Speaking Tree until is closure just after Yule 2004, and used her experience to open a similar version of this popular MBS store in February 2005 called 'The Gaia Tree'.
Romany also runs another online store called 'Sacred Spiral Supplies', which focusses on hand made and Fair Trade products, creative work by local craftsmen, personal blends of incense and essences, custom made items and much more.
Her custom made jewellery can be ordered on 'LunaLake Designs', a site specifically tailored to showcase Romanys artistic nature. On this site you can uncover her tiaras, necklaces, bracelets, masquerade masks and body casting. Magickal jewellery is always made in conjunction with Lunar influences, so some items will take longer to create than others depending on the necessary cycles. Little Sanctuary is Romany's latest venture, a Spiritual Coffee Shop and Unique Boutique in the heart of Winchesters creative centre.
Andrew Pritchard is the technical mind behind Little Sanctuary - from creating the stock control systems to providing IT support for the websites. He is a trained Radiographer and is skilled in Martial Arts. As Romanys soon-to-be husband, it is fair to say that Andrew not only provides technical support, but also a huge amount of emotional support! Thank You! x
Lucy Talbot is the youngest (and probably the funkiest) member of the Little Sanctuary family. She is currently studying for a degree in English Literature at Winchester University. Lucy enjoys learning about religions and beliefs from all over the world and has a particular interest in Buddhist and Hindu teachings and art. In her spare time she enjoys a variety of music, reading, painting, photography and writing. Lucy loves meeting people so working in Little Santuary is the perfect chance for her to talk with members of the local community and visitors from further afield!
Louise Hill joined Little Sanctuary in Autumn 2007. A trained counsellor, Yoga teacher and healing practitioner, Louises' wide range of skills have been a great benefit to our customers and clients. Her fun, friendly and approachable nature always makes our customers feel welcome, while her incredibly organised business mind has worked wonders behind the scenes! Louise is currently adding to her skills by training in Chakra Healing and Development and will be offering this service to clients within the next year or so. I would like to say thank you to Louise for turning up when she did - the right person, at the right time, in the right place...synchronicity at its finest!
