Little Sanctuary works with several families from Ubud, in Bali, to create a stunning range of unusual and beautiful lamps, boxes, and items of furniture. All furniture and lamps are purchased via the principles of fair trade and all items are hand made, giving a real sense of uniqueness to every beautiful item on display. The Zen Range:

In dark red-brown wood, engraved with zen coins in red and gold, this design is both contemporary and classic. Fits beautifully with the minimalist look and yet can also add an interesting charm to country homes. Available in large cupboards, small cupboards, drawers, step drawers, stacking boxes and coffee tables.

The Celtic Range:

In ash brown stained wood with decorative carving to expose the contrasting white wood beneath, this range is a firm favourite with our customers. Using celtic knotwork and swirls as inspiration, the Balinese have done a fabulous job of creating a range of furniture popular with young and old alike. Available in small shelving units, drawers, stacking boxes and coffee tables.

The Primative Range:

In dark brown wood, this range is engraved with designs native to Indonesia. Primative images of men and stark angular carvings invoke the feeling of far away places and times gone by. A beautiful, simple range that is a constantly evolving into new items every year. Available in small and large drawers, telephone tables, stacking boxes and coffee tables.

The Dragon Range:

In dark brown wood with red and gold engraved dragons, this is a brand new range for us and is becoming increasingly popular with our customers. Currently available in step drawers, small and large drawers, and stacking boxes.

The Reed Lamps:

We offer a stunning range of hand made lamps made from woven natural or dyed reeds and interwoven natural fabrics. With an energy saving lightbulb (we would recommend those!) they give off a soothing light as well as acting as a design feature within the room. The lamps can vary in colour and fabric, due to their hand crafted nature, but we can normally provide black, brown, tan, natural, pink, red, green and blue. Occasionally we can also offer purple, patchwork and gold embroidered. The lamps come in several designs - Open, Swirl, Tied and Onion.

Open - This design is a large decorative lamp of reeds that are woven tightly at the base and middle with a large spray of reeds open at the top. The spray at the top is decorated with hand threaded beads in a matching range of colours to the material used around the middle of the lamp. It catches the light beautifully when lit, and makes a great alternative to flowers as a feature!

Swirl - This natural reed lamp is loosely woven around a central spiral of material. Classically beautiful, this new design has become very popular for its slightly smaller stature than the open lamps - making it ideal for a decorative feature in a smaller room.

Tied - This lamp is an oval shape of decorative material, with a tall but narrow spray of reeds at its top. Light is diffused through the material, so obviously the darker the main colour the more muted the light. Atmospheric and sumptuous!

Onion - This lamp is akin to the tied version, but a much more compact design. A small ball of decorative material with woven reeds ending in a long but narrow spray at its top, this design is very popular for those with limited space. Gives you the same unique look and feel, but takes up much less room - making it ideal for tables, shelves and those strange nooks that just need a little light!
